Shoe & Cleat Fit
Our Cycling shoes & cleat position fit keeps your pedal stroke stabilised and aligned for power, comfort and your most efficient ride yet.
Setting up your cleats in the correct position is crucial to avoid injury and maximise power. This also applies to having enough support under your feet in the right places. A combination of proper fitting shoes, footbeds and cleat position will increase power, endurance, and comfort by optimising hip, knee, and foot alignment. We use off-bike foot and lower limb assessments in addition to on-bike video analysis, laser line tracking and shoe/pedal/bike adjustments to set you up optimally.
The cleat angle, fore and aft, lateral position and float/pedal tension is set up correctly during this fit so there is no misalignment and gives you the most power to the pedal. It is also essential the foot has enough support so it’s not collapsing during the pedal stroke. This is addressed using a footbed with customised longitudinal arch and metatarsal support. If needed we also use wedges and shims to address forefoot load and anatomical/functional leg length discrepancy.
